Our Story
Kim's Alterations is a neighborhood tailoring business on Largo Dr — alterations up front, professional embroidery in the back. Hyong Kim founded the shop in 1980. Today Rachel and Karla run the shop together — Rachel on the counter and alterations, Karla on the Baby Lock in the back.
For decades Savannah customers have brought hems, wedding pieces, suits, and everyday repairs through the door. Word spreads the old-fashioned way: one neighbor tells another. Church friends tell business owners. A jacket gets fixed right once — and the whole network knows where to go.
Custom embroidery is the other half of the shop. Logos on shirts and jackets. Names on uniforms. Thread work that has to look clean on technical fabric, not just cotton. Bring your garment or your artwork — Rachel will tell you straight what it takes and when you can pick up.
